2022.01.19 00:56 throwaway6793805 How cold is LA in March?
Hey guys, idk if this is the right subreddit to ask but I’m visiting LA mid March and was wondering how cold it is over there? I live in Hawaii so my cold tolerance is really really bad (70 degrees and I’m wearing a hoodie lol)
I looked at the past temperatures for March and it seemed to range from high 60s to low 70s for daytime. Is that true?

2022.01.19 00:55 ElTigre-5 I might have miscalculated
Despite being somewhat of a renowned mathematician, I think I made a mistake.
Earlier today I stated that today is the 18th and I applied to 15 schools. 18+15=33. We just had a 3 day weekend, 33+3=36. I took the LSAT 3 times. 36 divided by 3 is 12. Essentially this led to something about dinosaurs and dinosaurs are extinct so I would be a part of zero waves.
HOWEVER. I went UR3 at UChicago today after these calculations were made. I did interview. Divide 12 by 3 (UR3) again, and we get 4.
4 is the smallest composite number, its proper divisors being 1 and 2. Does this mean I may actually be a part of 1-2 waves this week? I guess only time will tell. This is why you don’t rush your calculations folks.

2022.01.19 00:55 Soggy-Selection8940 Raw chicken wings mess
Hi all, been loving my air fryer for the past few months. I have so far not used any oil at all, because all the foods I am making are oily enough
I have been buying raw wings from a local supplier. I have noticed that the clean up after cooking these is absolutely horrible
There is pieces of chicken and skin on the basket and it does not help to leave if soak overnight. The only way to get the gunk off is to scrape it with my nail.
Even the rough scrubbing side of my sponge does nothing
Should I be adding some oil to the basket first when making raw wings? I read somewhere that you have to be careful with types of oil as some will smoke, so what kind of oil would I use?
I cook them at about 370 for about 20 minutes
Thanks for any tips

My common app essay was about how I used to hold a pencil and I connected it to my life and personal growth. I'm pretty proud of it to be honest, by the end I thought it was well polished and represented me. Overall 9/10
AP Eng Lang teacher - We bonded a lot despite online school, and she regularly sends me pictures of her dogs and other pets. I'd say we're still very close and I visit her room whenever I can. 9/10
Law teacher - He didn't like me at first until he saw how much interest I have in law. We talk quite a bit and exchange books and news articles about changes in the law, etc. 8.5/10
AP Psych teacher (This one was left out of some applications but my parents suggested I get a recommendation from a STEM teacher) - We have a pretty normal relationship tbh, she has commented on my drive so I'd say it's a mutual respect type thing. 7/10
Schools: All RD
History major schools
Yale (dream school)
Poli sci schools
Columbia ( I kind of want to get away from NYC for now, but I like their core curriculum)
MIT (I didn't really want to apply here since it's more STEM focused but my parents thought I should)
Boston University for Poli Sci + History
Those are the schools I'm nervous about at least. I applied to 25 so...
Wow this was long! If anyone has any idea of what might be in store for me, pls comment, thank you!

After Microsoft bought Activision Blizzard today I personally think Sony either needs to make a partnership with Microsoft or just sell to them. Would be nice to play forza horizon on PS. Although this is just my opinion., I think its the way to go for Sony.

2022.01.19 00:55 MercilessHobo Non-Anti-Christian, Just Looking For Parenting Advice
New here, so appreciate any patience. I was raised in a strictly Baptist household. I was baptized. I was told that the reason I didn't kill myself during my multiple attempts and the reason I survived one of the most painful diseases known was because of God. Yet when my abusive mother got cancer it wasn't the God she always talked about or the karma she raised me to believe in, it was just cruelty. When my stepbrother died in a car accident it was a horrible tragedy that nobody could've imagined, suddenly God and karma no longer exist. Long story short, I've come to realize it was me. Not God. I am powerful. I did everything for myself, and sometimes shit just happens to people whether they're bad or good. You take care of yourself, and hope something bad doesn't happen. My wife was raised Mormon, but she never really believed. I'd say we are both more agnostic than atheist, we don't strictly deny the existence that a god could possibly exist, but we both do deny that if one does exist he resembles what Christians or Mormons have made him out to be. In our personal opinions no wonderful God who loves humans would let the world be what it is, but that's beside the point.
So that brings us to our topic today. We were both raised religiously. So were our parents. So were our grandparents. And our great grandparents. We have a 3 month old daughter now, and plan to have another child in a couple years. We love our baby girl so much, and obviously plan to be the best parents possible and now how to handle a lot of situations. But on the flip side, a LOT of situations in both of our childhoods were handled through religion. Tough times? Pray. Suicidal? Pray. Made it through something? Thank god. Life is tough? God is testing you. So what we are looking for is simply advice. Not hate, not criticism of religion, not shit talking. Just advice. What are some tips and advice you have for raising a child without forcing religion on them, to let them believe what they want to believe and teach them life lessons without forcing anything on them.
Thank you in advance.
